Bragging: Recent Reviews and Recognition for My Novels

One of the joys of writing is getting feedback from readers. Of course, the feedback isn’t always positive, but reader reviews are generally a reward for the long slog of writing and editing.

Here are some of the reviews readers have posted recently about my novels on Amazon. Each of these reviews—as well as most of the others I’ve received—made my day.

Lead Me Home:

A beautiful cover for a very good story, which is the first of a wonderful series. . . . [This author] has done meticulous research and has the ability to bring a great story to life. You feel like there is trail dust in your face and blisters on your feet, as the well-developed characters slowly travel west amid tragedy, growing romances, strained relationships and extreme hardships. Theresa Hupp is a gifted storyteller! . . .

An excellent novel! One of the best in its genre I have read so far. This is one of those books that you can’t put down. After reading the first two books of the Oregon Chronicles series, I couldn’t get back to reality for a long time. These books fell deeply into my heart forever.

Now I’m Found:

I did not get anything done today because I could not put this book down. So many parts to the story and you could not guess what happens next.

Terrific story about pioneers leaving to go West. Detail is wonderful and realistic. Very powerful novel.

The characters do not do what you so badly want them to do. At times their stubbornness makes you ache–because just like in real life, people’s own stubbornness and egos cause them to hurt one another and themselves.

Forever Mine:

I wasn’t going to read this book because the description sounded like most of the story was covered in the first 2 books. When I finished book 4 I wasn’t ready to be done with the stories. So I read book 3 [Forever Mine] last and enjoyed this book as much as the others. If you enjoy a wagons west book you should read all 4 books in this series.

Couldn’t put this series down. Great writing and storytelling. Made me really feel like I was there.

My Hope Secured:

I became so involved with the characters of these books that they were on my mind even when I took a break from reading them. I just look hope there will be another book to this saga soon. [NOTE from Theresa: I’m sorry to report I’m only about to start writing the next in the series.]

I believe I enjoyed this book most of all in this series. Zeke and Hannah were meant for one another.

In addition, My Hope Secured, which I published last year, has been named a nominee for the 2020 Thorpe Menn Award and a finalist in the 2020 Mid-America Romance Authors Carla Contest.

My thanks to all readers of my books. I appreciate your support.

And a nudge to all readers—the nicest thing you can do for authors is post reviews of books you like!
