Gratitude for Readers and Other Bloggers (and additional awards for this blog!)

Many thanks to those of you who have written comments on my earlier posts or on Facebook, or jotted a note in your Christmas card to me, telling me you have enjoyed something I have written. I am humbled whenever I receive your feedback, because it is I who thank you for taking the time to read what I write.

Most recently, I am grateful to two bloggers who have nominated my blog for awards.

Blog of the Year Award 1 star jpegFirst, J.G. Burdette, writer of A Map in Time, nominated this blog as Blog of the Year 2012.

The rules for that award are: (i) Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award; (ii) Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award; (iii) Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award –  and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!); (iv) Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them; (v) You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience; (vi) As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar and start collecting stars.

REALITY award logoSecond, Jill Weatherholt nominated my blog for the REALITY award and the Shine On award.

The rules for those awards are: (1) show appreciation of the blogger who nominated you and link back to them in your post; (2) add the award logo to your blog; (3) share seven things about yourself; (4) nominate five to ten bloggers you admire; and (5) contact your chosen bloggers to let them know.

Shine On award logoI recently posted information in response to another award nomination, so I won’t repeat it here. The blogs I previously nominated for the Lovely Blog Award are all worth perusing, if you haven’t done so already.

Although some may scoff at these awards as being self-promotional, they are also positive reinforcement in the community of bloggers.  We share our writing for free, because we think we have something to say that others might like to hear. We are always happy to know we are right!

Readers, if you like a blog post here or on another blog, take a second to “Like” it.  Better yet, take a minute to comment. You will make a blogger smile!
